Just about finished, that is. I have the first draft sent out to my two friends who are gonna be my beta readers and editors. It’s loosely based on the D&D campaign we’re playing at the moment so I wanted them to be able to make sure their character’s dialogue is, well, in character since they end up talking a lot in the comic.
I’m not going to be starting on layouts quite yet since I’m not sure what amount of edits/tweaks to expect (one of my friends tends to be very verbose and I have a feeling she may make her character who already talks like a damn book be even more so but we’ll see—I think I did a good job) but I am going to be starting on some concept art for the comic since I haven’t drawn some of these characters yet and many of them don’t have concrete designs.
Anyway, I’ll keep y’all posted! I’m very excited about this lil comic project so I hope you guys have some interest in it. I’m very excited to be able to focus on/share a more long-term project.
P.S. Though it may seem like I spent the past week or so writing out the script I actually did everything over these past three days so I am quite writerbrained so to speak. I apologize if this whole thing came off as very disjointed and ramble-y, I’m a bit in my own head about this whole thing now that I’ve sent it to people. Ah, nerves! Anyway, what I meant to say here is that it ended up WAY longer than I thought it would be. The script on its own is 49 pages long; I’m a bit worried to see how many pages of comic that translates into. Either way: it’s definitely longer than a typical single issue of a comic so I’m not quite sure how I’m gonna divy it up atm (if at all) but we’ll see. Gotta hear back from my elite squad of editors! (Aka my two friends reading through the script probably while they ride the bus to work LOL).
